Creating the Style of the Pirate Bride

The Pirate Bride / Art Creation / Creating the Style of the Pirate Bride

Before Anna and I had written a rough version of the story, I had only an outline that Anna had created on our hike in 2007. From this outline, Jerry’s imagination burst out with ideas.

He hit the sketch pad right away and came up with a variety of styles and characters for the book.  Any one of them would have made for a great look, but we had to narrow them down.  Enjoy imagining what the book’s illustrations could have been!
